Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery | Full-Time Nights

Torrance, California | Full-Time | Days and Night Shift

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Torrance, CA. This full-time night shift role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional care to mothers and babies during one of the most meaningful times in their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized nursing care in intrapartum, antepartum, and postpartum settings.
  • Manage and support laboring patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using advanced fetal monitoring techniques.
  • Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Ensure safe delivery practices and assist with surgical procedures, including C-sections, in the L&D OR.
  • Accurately document patient care in accordance with hospital policies and standards.
  • Uphold compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Active California RN License.
  • BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications (AHA).
  • Completion of AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course.
  • Minimum 1 year recent acute care hospital RN experience (as of Aug 9, 2024).
  • Minimum 1 year independent experience in Labor & Delivery (Intrapartum, Antepartum, and L&D OR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National specialty certification (e.g., Inpatient Obstetric Nursing – RNC-OB).
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure environments.
