Position Description
Job Summary And Responsibilities
As a Rehabilitation Nurse at St Mary Medical Center, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, your ultimate goal is restoring your patients’ health, so they have the ability to care for themselves at home. Along with physicians and other members of your rehab team, you will go along on the patients’ journey, providing care and education so they can resume their lives at home with their families.
You’ll use a wide variety of nursing skills in this position. Your day-to-day nursing tasks will depend on the tailored needs of your patients. Some may need direct acute care; some may not. In addition to monitoring, you’ll also educate patients and their families on how to continue quality care once they’re at home.
To thrive in this role, you need a wide range of nursing skills. You need to be upbeat, as our patients have a long road ahead of them and sometimes need a boost. Most importantly, you’ll advocate for their needs and wellbeing by ensuring they have the resources and support needed at discharge.
While you’re busy impacting the healthcare industry, we’ll take care of you with benefits that include health/dental/vision, FSA, matching retirement plans, paid vacation, adoption assistance, and more.
