Position Description

Job Posting: Clinical Nurse (Special Needs Coordinator)

Location: Edwards AFB, CA - 412th Medical Group

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 0700-1730 (Not to exceed 8 hours/day)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program recognized by the ACEN or CCNE
  • Certification: Certified in a relevant specialty (e.g., oncology, psychiatric, cardiovascular)
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience to meet clinical competency requirements
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license

Core Duties:

  • Practice both independently and collaboratively to create comprehensive care plans for patients
  • Provide educational support and guidance to staff, including leading in-service trainings
  • Conduct developmental assessments and screenings
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to communicate healthcare plans to patients, families, and staff
  • Ensure proper use of universal precautions during all patient interactions
  • Attend staff meetings for case discussions, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives
